Moore Blatch has selected the Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) as the firm’s first Charity of the Year. Under the new initiative, Moore Blatch will organise a full calendar year of activities - with the aim of fundraising for the charity.
The partnership will also see Moore Blatch lawyers and staff donate their time and volunteer in the houses. Volunteers will undertake a variety of activities including deep cleaning so that the houses are in perfect condition for families; and running events togive parents and their children an opportunity to rest and relax away from the hospital ward.
A firm with philanthropy at its core, Moore Blatch decided to launch the Charity of the Year initiative after a legacy of successful fundraising campaigns for several organisations, including a recent donation of £2,390 for Smile4Wessex, which provides charitable support for the Wessex Neurological Centre of Southampton General Hospital.
Matthew Claxson, Partner at Moore Blatch said:
“Moore Blatch is delighted to launch our Charity of the Year initiative and pleased that we will be supporting the vital work of the Ronald McDonald House Charities."
“At Moore Blatch, we have a long history of establishing close links with respected charities to both enhance the support we provide to our clients who have suffered major trauma, personal injury or medical negligence, and also to fulfil our philanthropic values. We have seen first-hand the important contribution the Ronald McDonald House Charities make to the families of young children in hospital.
“We look forward to visiting the houses to lend our support and will endeavour to raise as much money as possible.”
Jon Haward, Director of Ronald McDonald House Charities UK commented:
“We are delighted to be named Moore Blatch’s Charity of the Year. It’s corporate organisations like Moore Batch that help make such a difference to families during the most difficult time of their lives through their corporate fundraising."
“Ronald McDonald House Charities UK is extremely proud to be their chosen charity and I look forward to seeing the partnership thrive in years to come.”
